It involves building relationships, fostering natural supports, promoting independence, and creating pathways for long-term employment success. In this session, employment professionals will explore the essential foundations of effective job coaching, including understanding professional roles, preparing individuals for success before day one, supporting effective communication, building workplace connections, and using teaching strategies that match a person’s strengths and learning style. Participants will leave with practical tools and strategies to help individuals with disabilities succeed in the workplace while reducing dependency and increasing independence.
