National Website Portfolio Pilot Project

This initiative introduces website portfolios as a practical tool to support youth with intellectual and developmental disabilities in achieving meaningful employment. The project integrates technology, self‑advocacy, and employer engagement by partnering with Project SEARCH and other transition program with funding provided by Mitsubishi Electric America Foundation (MEAF).

This national Community of Practice brings together educators, instructors, and transition professionals to build capacity and develop the skills needed to implement website portfolios within classrooms, Project SEARCH sites, and transition programs. By creating personalized websites, interns build confidence, communication skills, and tangible tools to connect with inclusive employers. The long-term impact is improved access to competitive employment, engagement with employers and sustained career growth.
