Cheryl Mitchell (She/Her)
Cheryl Mitchell leads efforts to advance accessibility, inclusive design, and disability advocacy with over 20 years of experience in policy development, program innovation, and community-centered research. As CEO of AccessForge.io, she partners with organizations to build more inclusive digital and physical environments, working at the intersection of disability, aging, and equity. Cheryl drives change by helping institutions adopt practical, people-first solutions that support full participation for individuals with disabilities and older adults.
She serves on the Board of Directors for both Ability Central, which expands communication access for people with disabilities, and WISE (Washington Initiative for Supported Employment), which promotes equitable employment opportunities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Cheryl grounds her work in lived experience, systems thinking, and a belief that accessibility is not an extra step—it’s a shared responsibility and a strategic necessity.
