Executive Director

Cesilee Coulson serves as the Executive Director of Wise, bringing nearly 30 years of leadership experience in advancing employment opportunities for people with disabilities. Cesilee actively participates in the Global Leadership Exchange, co-chairs the National TASH Employment Community of Practice, and has served as a Board Member and Treasurer for National APSE. She is also a member of the Pacific Northwest Partners for Work Rotary Club.

In 2015, Cesilee was appointed by the U.S. Secretary of Labor to the Advisory Committee on Increasing Competitive Integrated Employment for Individuals with Disabilities, established under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA). She chaired the Subcommittee on Capacity Building and currently serves as a Subject Matter Expert with the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Disability and Employment Policy (ODEP).

Cesilee is an esteemed international speaker and expert in disability employment policy and best practices. Her areas of expertise include Organizational Strategic Planning, Leadership Development, Executive Management Coaching, State Employment Systems Design, and implementation of policies related to employment services for individuals with disabilities.

Cesilee holds a master’s degree in Sports Psychology, a bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Movement Sciences, an Executive Coaching certification from the Hudson Institute, a Somatic Coaching certification from the Strozzi Institute, and is a certified Kolbe Consultant.

What’s the first or best concert you ever attended?

A:

The best concert I ever attended was the first Lilith Fair in July of 1997 at the Gorge, 1 year after I was hired at Wise ;-)!
