Alison DeYoung (She/Her)
Ali has been dedicated to the field of transition and employment since 2008, serving in various capacities such as direct support provider, job developer, educator, and program manager. She is passionate about amplifying the voices of individuals with disabilities and using technology as a tool to create a portrait of competency.
In her role at Wise, Ali has led the development of the Website Portfolios course and serves as a Person-Centered Planning facilitator, guiding individuals with enthusiasm and a strengths-based approach. As a member of the Marketing and Communications team, she coordinates marketing strategies across multiple projects to ensure consistency and impact. Ali thrives on relationship-building and networking, connecting individuals and organizations with Wise’s trainings and resources to create opportunities for collaboration and learning.
Ali also plays a key role in the planning and execution of the annual Community Summit, where she builds and designs the online event platform and app using Cvent to create an engaging and accessible experience for attendees.
She has experience in classroom and community-based transition programs, as well as providing national training and technical assistance for federal grant projects at both state and local levels. Ali has presented at national conferences, including TASH, APSE, and Project SEARCH, on topics such as website portfolios, technology tools for job development, student-led IEP meetings, and employment success stories.
Residing and working in Alexandria, VA, Ali holds both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in Special Education from the University of Arizona.
