Wise is currently seeking candidates for a Training and Technical Assistance Manager with Positive Behavior Support (PBS).

DESCRIPTION: The Training and Technical Assistance Manager with Positive Behavior Support (PBS) promotes the mission and values of the Washington Initiative for Supported Employment and supports other professional staff to do the same. This position provides PBS related technical assistance, information, and consultation to individuals with disabilities and their families, governmental staff, community boards, employment service agencies, schools, advocates, employers and/or co-workers. This position will collaborate with people with disabilities and other specialists in planning beginner, intermediate and specialization level training products. The Training and Technical Assistance Manager with PBS will provide technical assistance grounded in person-centered ethics and the understanding that PBS services should always being about working with individuals to improve the quality of their lives in ways that are meaningful to them.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides in-person and virtual positive behavior support technical assistance and consultation to people with disabilities, their community-based service providers, families, and/or schools
  • Designs and implements project plans to build positive behavior support service capacity
  • Develops, delivers, and facilitates training workshops, series, and/ or forums on positive behavior support related topics
  • Acts as the point of contact for informational calls regarding services.
  • Represents the organization at public and professional meetings and forums.
  • Compiles and prepares financial, statistical, and narrative reports
  • Supports the development and implementation of agency goals, priorities, and policies and manages various projects necessary for the agency to function effectively.
  • Facilitates project team meetings and/or project reports.
  • Additional responsibilities and duties as negotiated and assigned by senior staff or project managers.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Ideal candidates will have a background in supporting other professionals in implementing values-driven employment, inclusion, or residential services. A bachelor’s degree along with significant experience in delivering community-based services with proficient use of PBS strategies is required. Each year of required education can be substituted with two years of relevant experience. Individuals holding BCBA certification or graduates of Wise’s PBS Specialization course are encouraged to apply.

MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must submit to a criminal background check to ascertain whether criminal convictions exist for certain crimes against persons. Evidence of such shall render the candidate ineligible for employment with Wise.
  • Employees who drive in the course of the work will be required to provide proof of insurance and a valid driver’s license.

Working conditions include office work from home or based in community locations. This position includes a high amount of desk work, sitting, phone and computer screen time in an open and/or personal office work environment. This position may require travel to other offices or meetings as needed.

SALARY SCALE: $79,677-$94,854
