PRIDES Learning Series Session 3:

Empowering Sexuality: Fostering Inclusion and Healthy Relationships for Individuals with IDD

Presenter: Lindsay Piper, MS, MNLM, GCSE

This training will explore the historical and systemic barriers to sexual liberation for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and will highlight the importance of comprehensive sexuality education in promoting positive sexuality and healthy relationships. Participants will gain insights into the intersectionality of disability, sexuality, and other identities, and will leave equipped with the practical tools and strategies to support the diverse needs of individuals with IDD.

Lindsay Piper, MS, MNLM, GCSE, (she/her), is a sexuality educator and advocate, currently working as a sexual assault prevention specialist with the Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities community. She has a Masters degree in Nonprofit Leadership and Management, a Maters of Science in Family and Human Development, a Bachelors in Psychology, and a Graduate Certificate in Sexuality Education.
