Rob has worked in the field of Supported Employment since 2013 as a Job Coach, Employment Consultant, and Transition Specialist. Rob holds a B.S. in Environmental Studies and Applications from Michigan State University and is a Certified Employment Specialist through Highline College. Rob has seen firsthand how having paid employment changes the lives of people with DD/ID, allowing them to be integrated, contributing members of their communities, something many of us take for granted. Rob is energized by the civil-rights aspect of the Supported Employment movement and being involved with the push towards a society that includes all people, regardless of their level of ability. We all have different abilities, and Rob believes that focusing on what we can do, as opposed to what we can’t, leads us all to better outcomes. In his spare time, Rob enjoys spending time with his family, hiking, camping, snowboarding, cheering on the Michigan State Basketball and Football teams (Go Green!), as well as the Seahawks and the Sounders FC. His other passions include writing songs and playing bass in an independent rock band.
