Believing in the potential of all individuals to contribute, engage and thrive in their communities, Amy M. Gonzalez has dedicated her career to the socioeconomic advancement of individuals with disabilities, by taking on various roles in the areas of direct service provision, program implementation, and policy development. Amy has worked across an array of publicly-financed service delivery systems, providing her a holistic understanding of the barriers that people with disabilities face in various aspects of society and the challenges they commonly experience navigating the myriad of state and federal policies, eligibility requirements, disparities in service provision, and reimbursement limitations. Later in her career, Amy transferred her direct support experience to advise political leaders at both the state and federal levels on systems-change efforts to improve employment outcomes among the disability population.

Amy earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of Texas – Rio Grande Valley (formerly Pan American).  She is the Founder and Principal of AMG Consulting, LLC.
