Please join us on Wednesday, March 11th and Tuesday, March 17th for our next webinar, “Video Production for Resumes and Portfolios: It’s easy, I promise”. 

This smartphone video creation workshop is for anybody interested in learning how to use their smartphone or tablet computers to create fun and creative video content!  We’ll be working together to create video resumes and portfolios for people you serve using everyday iPhones, Android phones, or Tablets.

All level of technology experience, from beginner to advanced, are welcome.  If you have an Android (Samsung, LG, HTC, Sony, Pixel) or iphone/ipad that is 2 years old or newer, please bring it along! This hands on workshop will be fun and participant driven.  Not only will this skillset help you advocate strongly for the people you serve, it’s a great skill to have for social media, preserving family memories and personal hobbies.  Come join us!

Each participant should have their own smartphone or tablet, or plan ahead of time to collaborate with another trainee. Collaboration teams are encouraged to be no bigger than 2-3 people.

Learning Objectives:

  • Participants will understand the basic elements of video production using their smartphones
  • Participants will create their own video project
  • Participants will learn and makes choices about different style elements and when to use them

 

Shaun Wood, Wise Senior Program Manager

Shaun is all about jobs! He’s a community developer and has worked to support people with disabilities since 2002. He continues to work in schools, people’s homes, and job sites, helping to build inclusive communities. Shaun is a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst and a certified Employment Specialist. He served in the U.S. Peace Corps in Eastern Europe, and obtained both his M.Ed. (Applied Behavior Analysis) and B.A. (Political Science/Human Rights) from the University of Washington.

Shaun uses applied behavior analysis, emerging technology, reflective processes, and mentorship to drive employment outcomes. In his current role, he’s available to work in local communities across Washington State and beyond! He has active projects from Alaska to the southwestern U.S. and eastern Canada. Shaun loves languages, and is fluent in Bulgarian with experience in French, Macedonian, Turkish, and Romani (he’s currently studying Spanish). When he isn’t working, he likes to garden, brew espresso, stare into his aquariums, and jog circles around his adopted hometown of Burien, Washington.
