Using Person-Centered Employment Tools For Yourself with Jim Corey & Katherine Titus

Please join us on Tuesday, May 19th for our webinar, Using Person-Centered Employment Tools For Yourself” with Jim Corey & Katherine Titus.
 

Please join Katherine Titus and Jim Corey in a facilitated group person-centered planning process.  Participants will be led, step by step, through a Futures Planning process for themselves.  As a result, they will become familiar with the process of digging deep, discovering skills, and brainstorming new opportunities.  Our intent is to assist people to prepare for life after COVID and to be able to use these person-centered thinking practices to start planning new opportunities not only for themselves but for their families, coworkers, and those they support.

Learning Objectives (Info, tools, and skills attendees will receive):

  • Learn the values and intent of Person-Centered Employment Planning
  • Become familiar with the Future’s Planning model
  • Experience stepping through a Person-Centered thought process personally
  • Learn how to use Person-Centered thinking to prepare yourself, family, coworkers, and those you support for life and work during and after the COVID 19 crisis

 

*Please note: Wise maintains registration and attendance records for our events and training programs. Attendees that fully participate in events and/or complete training programs will receive a certificate to document  full participation as back up for billing purposes.  Wise is required to monitor participation in our courses and provide reports to our funding sources so that they may utilize these records in the course of their audits of programs. These reports may include actual time spent by attendee name, event/training title, county and state. Reports are provided to ensure there is documented proof of the appropriate use of government funds for the purposes of professional development.

Jim Corey, Wise
Jim passionately believes that every person is born to this planet with a purpose, a genius unique to them, and a people to serve. He believes that first and foremost we all need valuable social roles, jobs, and an ability to contribute meaningfully to the community. In 1994, Jim found his career working alongside people with the most significant developmental and intellectual disabilities, primarily in their search for employment. Since 2001, Jim has been honored to work at WISE, a recognized leader in facilitating paid community jobs for people with even the most difficult challenges, and an early adopter of the national call to Employment for All.  Jim is a person-centered planner, discovery wild man, wide-eyed and intuitive employment consultant, micro-business planner, trainer, speaker, retreat facilitator, event coordinator, and innovative project manager. His work is infused with fun, creativity, and care.
 

 

 

 
Katherine Titus, Wise
 

Katherine Titus has 18+ years of experience working with individuals who are planning for work. Katherine has worked with individuals, families, Counties, the Developmental Disability Administration, DVR, employers, and schools to promote equity and empowerment in lives, opportunities, and employment for all. Some of the work Katherine is experienced with include facilitating person-centered employment plans, working with service providers and individuals in WA state and North Dakota to expand person Centered Planning practices, training to groups of 40+ on both Person Centered Planning and self-determination. Katherine also works with employers in Spokane who are looking to expand their work force. In addition, Katherine is a part of the event planning team at WISE, working on conferences around the state that provide information to anywhere from 100-1000 people.

Katherine’s strengths include supporting individuals through system navigation, person-centered planning, and advocating side-by-side with other advocates. She believes in working at a high level of optimism, discipline, and energy in all areas of life.  Katherine enjoys spending free time with her family and large family of friends, is immersed in college football (Roll Tide) and will jump at any opportunity to travel and see new places.
